Nyama and the Eland is the coming-of-age story of Nyama, a young San girl. Nyama listens to her grandmother telling her beautiful traditional stories about the origins of storms, the wind and the moon as well as the mantis and the eland. Nyama's moment comes when she takes part in a traditional ceremony that leads her on her own journey to find out more about herself and her people.
